It’s Monday and, for most of us, it’s back to reality after a nice long weekend. I hope you all had such a great holiday weekend and so much fun celebrating the new year! We spent NYE with my in-laws and some friends from church watching football, playing cards against humanity and enjoying many glasses of champagne.. just the way I like it 😉

You may have noticed there are a few changes that have popped up in terms of the layout of SS – mainly just a change to the header and sidebar photo for now, but there will be some more coming throughout the next week or two as I tweak and update this little blog to better represent the change and growth that has been happening in all aspects of Sunkissed Sophisticate (including me)! I’ll be looking for ways to simplify the aesthetic; I’ll be cleaning up content, pages and links; I’ll be looking for ways to make this little corner of the internet prettier.. and probably more. So, all that to say – please bare with the switches, changes and any rearranges 🙂

Now for this outfit. The hubs and I went downtown yesterday afternoon for a late lunch and I wore this cowl neck dress, which is so soft, comfortable and warm! It comes in a couple of different colors: black, this charcoal gray and a berry color. I want it in all three! I threw these adorable dotted tights on underneath to keep the (finally cold) January chill off my legs. Of course, a pair of black booties finished it all off and kept the muted color scheme going.
