It’s been a while since I’ve posted an updated makeup tutorial on here – almost a year to be exact! A few of the products you’ll see in my current routine are the same as when I posted this everyday makeup rundown last year. However, a few things have changed and I love what I’m using right now, so I thought I’d share!

When it comes to makeup, I consider myself fairly conservative. I was always taught that makeup should be used to enhance your natural beauty, not cover it up or alter it dramatically.. but that’s just me! If your makeup philosophy is the complete opposite, more power to you! I think my conservatism stems from the fact that I wasn’t even allowed to wear makeup until well into high school. I think the craziest thing I use right now is lip liner – and I only started using it about 6 months ago LOL! That being said, you’ll notice that I always go for subtle eyesahdow colors and a more natural look overall. If we’re attending an event or something, sometimes I’ll go all out – which, for me really just means using colors that are about 1.3 shades darker, a slightly bolder lip and MAYBE a pair of fake eyelashes…

So you can imagine how old it got to wash, dry and style it every. single. day. Why did I do it? If I didn’t wash my hair every day, it felt gross. And maybe nobody else noticed, but it would smell weird to me, feel greasy and it just made me really uncomfortable. So how did I train my hair to need to be washed less? The first thing I had to adjust to was wearing my hair up and second was effectively using dry shampoo. For the first week or so, my routine…

Hey guys! I finally got a video put together of how I curl my hair! This was my first video tutorial so bear with me 😉 But I hope it helps! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below. If you click through to my YouTube channel you’ll see a whopping 2 videos (the other video is of our pregnancy announcement)! However, I really enjoyed this project and would love to start incorporating videos into my editorial calendar much more often. If you have any tutorials or ideas of what you’d like to see, feel free to leave your ideas in a comment as well! Also, I’ve linked the products I’m using down below if you’re interested 🙂 shop the post.
