When it comes to certain makeup and skincare items, a steep price tag just isn’t necessary. There are plenty of quality products out there that don’t cost you an arm and a leg. I have six specific items that I’ve been using (and loving) every single day for literally years now. Read on to discover my morning face wash, go-to eyeliner, no-fuss hairspray, best-ever chapstick and buttery smooth bronzer.

my everyday drugstore items.

  1. Aqua Net Hairspray – I have really thick and sometimes unruly hair, but this completely affordable bottle of hairspray not only lasts me forever, but has the perfect amount of hold. It doesn’t cause over-stiffness or become annoyingly crunchy. I use it every day whether its just for creating a thin layer of humidity protection or making sure my hard earned curls stay intact throughout the day. It comes in a scented and unscented version, but I love the pink bottle best!5 Drugstore Items I Use Everyday | Amanda Fontenot Blog
  2. Covergirl Perfect Blend Eye Liner – I’ve tried liquid eyeliners, pens, powders and even other pencils, but this is by far my favorite. I’ve found that I prefer a more natural, blended line around my eyes and I love how I can use the spongey end to achieve that look. Adversely, it can also be used to create a hard line for an edgier appearance. It shows up well on your, under the eye and even in the inner rim if that’s your style. I use the black, but there are other colors available too.
  3. Cetaphil Face Wash – I use this face wash every single morning. It leaves my skin feeling clean, awake and removes excess oil without over-drying my skin (this is the makeup remover/skin cleanser I use at night before bed if you’re wondering)!
  4. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer – I found this bronzer a while back while on a hunt for an affordable, well-pigmented option. Not only does this one show up well, but it smells AMAZING. I use it on my cheekbones as well as my eye creases for a natural eyeshadow look!
  5. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm – I’ve used plenty of chapsticks and lip balms, but nothing compares to this version by Burt’s Bees. They have several different shades and scents but my favorite, by far, is the original mint – it’s so cool and soothing! I apply it several times a day but especially before putting color on my lips to create a smooth, nourishing base layer.
  6. Aveeno Facial Moisturizer – This is the BEST daily facial moisturizer. I’ve been using it since high school and I love that it’s lightweight, smells great and contains spf 15!
