Foreword
I’m baaack! And in a big way. With this maternity shoot, I’m excited to announce that A Glimpse of Glam will officially be offering photography services! Whether you’re in the Atlanta area, nearby, or far away, contact me via the Photography page to inquire about a shoot! Now, let me tell you all about my friends.
Since 7th Grade
Samantha and Wesley are two of my very favorite people. They’ve been in love since we were all in the 7th grade together.
I’ve had the immense privilege of being there as Sam’s face turned red every day when Wes walked into Mrs. Brooks’ math class; as Wes made the football team in high school and Sam was cheering him on from the sidelines; as they were voted by all of us as Mr. & Mrs. Crystal River High our senior year; as we all went off to college all over the state of Florida and were elated on weekends we could all be together again. Sam stood next to me as my Maid of Honor when I married the love of my life and I stood with her almost exactly a year later as she married Wesley.
They’ve always been such a sweet example of love and grace, tenderness and friendship and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without both of their influence in my life.
The shoot
A few weekends ago, I drove back home to Crystal River for their baby shower and the next day we drove to Gainesville to take their maternity photos in the same place they said their vows just over 2 years ago.
This last photo was such a sweet moment. The entire morning, I’d had my phone in my back pocket playing a Pandora radio station. Just as we were wrapping up, taking our last few photos, Sam and Wes’ wedding song, “Mean to Me” by Brett Eldredge came on while they were in the exact place they’d dance to it as their first song at their wedding. They danced and I snapped photos.. succumbing to tears at the awesomeness of God’s timing and the awesomeness of love and babies and friendship.
So ready to meet you, Callie Mae Lanier.
