Happy Monday, friends!
I cannot believe I’m bringing you all my 6-month bumpdate on Baby F. I can truly say that time feels like it’s flying and crawling at the same time. We’ve still got a month left in the second trimester, but between the holidays, baby showers, classes, visitors and hospital tours – I know the rest of my time with a bump is going to feel like the blink of an eye. Trying to savor these days as much as possible!
Today I’m not only sharing a bumpdate, but be sure to scroll down to the bottom to read about a really cool way to buy natural cleaning products that is easy on the wallet!
bumpdate.
Bump Analysis: Y’all, bending over is becoming one of my biggest adversaries.. lol. It’s such a strange feeling to literally have to stop bending because you feel like you are getting punched in the stomach the further you go. I was painting my toes last night and literally told G that this may be one of the last times I can paint them myself!
Month/Trimester: 6 months [24 weeks] / 2nd trimester
Food of the week: A large zucchini or an ear of corn!
Development: Apparently he’s gained about 4 ounces since last week, which means he’s weighing in at about 1 1/3 pounds! His taste buds are continuing to develop and soon he’ll begin to plump up.
Movement: He’s been super active this week. I notice it most after I eat, when there are loud noises and, of course, when I’m laying down and still.
Name: FSF 🙂
mom update.
Weight Gain: I haven’t checked since last week, but I’m guessing I’m at about 16 pounds.
Symptoms: I can tell that we’re getting close to the third trimester because I can feel my fatigue fighting its way back. I also have had an increased appetite and notice that if I don’t eat regularly I begin to feel nauseous and sick – something I’m almost positive is pregnancy-related.
Cravings: I’ve been craving sweets so I made sure to make a small batch of my apple dip to snack on throughout the week.
Aversions: I excitedly grabbed a bottle of pumpkin spice creamer the other day. However, baby is NOT a fan.. and it’s a pretty sad thing.
Sleep: Sleeping really well thanks to my body pillow!
Maternity Clothes: Did you see yesterday’s post on my maternity ruche dress? I actually also have this midi-length black dress and love them both so much!
Exercise: Walking – but I’m making it my mission this week to add in some stretching and possibly some pregnancy yoga 🙂
Wedding Rings: On
Stretch Marks: None, thanks to my handy dandy butters and oils.
looking forward.
Preparations for Baby: Finalizing our baby registry and beginning to gather addresses for baby shower invitations!
Labor Signs: Nope!
What I miss:
Looking forward to: G and I are actually headed to Myrtle Beach later in the week! I think we’ll call this our babymoon 🙂
natural cleaning products.
It’s getting to be the time when I’m trying to make some decisions as far as what/how I’d like our household to function after baby arrives. Switching our household cleaning products to less harsh, more natural ones is one thing that I’ve decided I’d like to change in the next three months. So, when I found Grove Collaborative I decided to give it a try – and I’m so glad I did! Everything you see below, I received for less than $25 and that’s with FREE shipping. I love the natural wood scrub with it’s glass stand and the variety of brands and types of products are great!
Whether you’re thinking about switching to natural products too, or if you’ve been a natural consumer for a while now – be sure to check out Grove – you won’t be sorry!
