You guys, we are SO CLOSE.
This is probably going to be my last bumpdate until he arrives due to the holidays and the sheer fact that I don’t think it will be much longer now 🙂 With that in mind, thank you all so much for following along on Baby F’s progress. The days that I publish bumpdates always see a huge spike in readership and it means a lot that y’all care to read about our little bundle of joy!
37 week bumpdate.
Bump Analysis: I can’t believe how much this bump has grown over time. I remember being at week 18 and wondering when I was going to start showing. I think I finally started getting a defined bump around week 24 and, since then, he’s just made his presence more and more known seemingly by the minute 🙂
Month/Trimester: 9.25 months [37 weeks] / 3rd trimester
Food of the week: Swiss Chard
Development: I keep reading conflicting articles on whether or not this week marks “full-term” or not lol!. Either way, he’s pretty much done developing. From what I can tell, his lungs could use a little longer in the womb and he’s continuing to pack on as much fat as possible!
Movement: He’s still an active mover and shaker. He responds to gentle pushes on my tummy, which is pretty fun! G and I were sitting on the couch the other night watching him hiccup – my entire midsection shakes over and over again when he does 🙂
Name: FSF
mama.
Cravings: I’ve experienced a fairly diminished appetite in these last few weeks – which I’ve read is totally normal.
Aversions: Nothing really.
Sleep: Sleep is really hard at this point. It’s not easy to find a comfortable position with this big ol’ bump in the way.
Maternity Clothes: I’ve stopped buying clothes at this point!
Exercise: Walking and stretching 🙂
Wedding Rings: Still on!
Stretch Marks: None, thanks to my handy dandy butters and oils.
Preparations for Baby: We’ve packed our hospital bags, I’ve washed all of his laundry and the car seat is installed and ready. I spent this last weekend in serious nesting mode – cleaning everything from closets to painting our master bathroom and even helping G clean and organize the garage lol!
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks! I’m started to notice them feel a little bit different – switching from feeling like they’re tightening from the sides to moving up toward the top.
What I miss: Being able to run. Is that weird? I got an urge to go for some serious exercise the other day and just miss being able to put my headphones in and go for a jog around the neighborhood.
Looking forward to: Meeting this precious baby boy of ours.
