the maxi dress: an easy summer outfit.
It doesn’t get much better than a good maxi dress for summer. I love how effortless and comfortable they are. The hardest part about them is deciding what accessories to pair with – and even that is more fun than a chore!
I absolutely love the pattern and colors used in this dress. It has some braided detailing at the neckline that is so cute and it ties at the top so that you can adjust how high up it sits on your chest. There are also two slits at the hem on either side so that you can take full strides when you walk – something that can either make or break a maxi dress in my opinion!
I wore this outfit for an afternoon out shopping and walking around town last weekend with G and the babe and got so many compliments on it! Since I was wearing these flat sandals, I tied up the bottom of the dress in a knot to keep from needing to hold it up (for reference: I’m 5’4 and wearing a size small). I also carried around this simple canvas tote which doubled as a diaper bag that day. It’s roomy and neutral enough to go with just about everything!
