Since moving into our new house, we’ve been making our fair share of Amazon purchases. Between updating bathrooms, filling up spare rooms and establishing a new cleaning routine, I think it’s safe to say we get a delivery pretty much every day. But with all of our new product testing and buying, I wanted to take a moment to share some of our favorites with you in case you’re looking for similar items! I’ll give you the top five.
Top Five Amazon Purchases
Eureka Hard Floor Vacuum
We went from having a completely carpeted second floor in our previous home, to having literally zero carpet in this one. Our old vacuum works fine on our two shag rugs, but as for vacuuming the wood floors and bathroom tile, it was just flinging dirt around with its spinning rollers. In desperation, I ordered this vacuum (just $30!) and was SO pleasantly surprised at how well it works (especially for the money)! It has zero spinners on the bottom so dirt and dog hair simply gets sucked up, it comes with two useful attachments AND the handle can be removed (or not) to be used as an easy handheld dust buster. I use it to vacuum the dirt the dogs track in from outside pretty much every day and love how easy it makes it to clean our stairs and vacuum the couch! The suction is strong and the easy-to-remove filter is a breeze to clean!
Bissell Symphony Steam Mop and Vacuum
I’ve never had a steam mop or vacuum/mop combo before, but I was hoping to cut down on the time it took to clean our floors. You guys.. I LOVE this product. Even G saw how well it worked and his exact words were “that thing’s worth every penny” – which is very high praise if you know my husband 😉 The fact that it vacuums dust/pet hair/dirt AND mops/sanitizes your floor at the same time is absolutely amazing. This pet model also ensures that its safe to use with your pets and kiddos around. We noticed SUCH a difference in how clean our floors FELT underfoot after we used it. I would still recommend giving your high traffic areas a good scrub once a week or every other week – depending on your household – because it doesn’t SCRUB dirt or stains away (you know what I mean?) but it does so well at maintaining and sanitizing. I just can’t recommend this thing enough!
InnoGear Essential Oil Diffuser
Any time our household gets sick, I always get a little self-conscious that maybe I’m not doing enough to clean or disinfect our home. After we all got a bad stomach bug a couple of weeks ago I started looking into essential oils (which I’ve been wanting to get into/have been researching for a while now) and decided to give them a real go. I purchased an immune boosting roll-on for Fischer for when he’s going to children’s church or spending time with other kids in a large setting, and I also got this diffuser to try in his room. I love how simple this is to use and how cute/stylish it looks.
Pureology Color Fanatic
Last month, I went in for my bi-annual haircut/balayage and my hairdresser used this. It smells SO GOOD and the difference I felt in my hair after she dried and styled it was amazing. I use it mainly as a heat protectant when I’m drying/curling/straightening my hair, but it has so many other benefits that you can actually feel and see working.
Rubbermaid Brilliance Food Storage Containers
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been trying to get better about organizing and meal prepping on Sundays. With that, I’ve tried a couple of different food storage systems, but these are by far my favorite. They help your produce actually last since the airtight seal is actually functional and effective. I got the largest container to hold our chopped salad leaves at first and absolutely fell in love with the design!
And that’s five! There’s actually so many things I could recommend but this post is getting so long already 😉 Here are two more quick ones though. I’ll share more on stories as I use them, so be sure to follow along on Instagram!
Honorable Mentions:
Enzo Rodi Sink Fixture Set
We replaced the bathroom vanity in Fischer’s bathroom recently and installed this faucet set. It is SO beautiful. Sometimes I find myself walking in there just to admire it ?I love when faucet necks are raised up a little higher. I think it makes them look so elegant. Plus, a higher reaching spout makes it more functional if you’re filling bottles or rinsing things out. If you are considering updating your fixtures, this is a big recommendation!
Divided Lazy Suzan
Fischer’s snacks had been in a basket near the pantry floor and he kept getting into them and asking for snacks at inopportune times ?So I decided I needed a new system. We keep this turntable up on a higher shelf and its perfect for holding his oatmeal packets, fruit bars, veggie pouches and teething crackers! Any time we’re going out to run errands I’ll head to the pantry for a couple of meltdown-reducing snacks 😉 and I love how easy and accessible this thing makes it to grab what I need and throw it in the diaper bag.
Okay, I’m done now. I hope you guys find this post useful. If you’re going to try anything I’ve mentioned here, let me know in the comments below! I’m also happy to answer any questions you may have so fire away. Hope you’re all having a great week!
