If you’re following along on Instagram, you know I’ve been trying out a bunch of new things – new routines, new products.. lots of new. So, I thought I’d take a moment to share with you all a few things that I’m really loving lately. These items don’t fall into any specific category or particular rhythm, rhyme or reason. They’re literally just the seven things I’ve been using/trying out lately and really love! Okay that’s enough back story – let’s get to it.
What I’m Loving.
1. Instant Pot
I held off on buying an Instant Pot for a looong time. My thinking was “I have a crockpot and almost zero need to cook things in a hurry, why should I buy one?” Well, when I started getting serious about eating healthier and food prepping on Sundays, an Instant Pot has made those two tasks so much simpler! It not only allows for multi-tasking, but it pressure cooks food in a reduced amount of time. So, on Sundays I can have 2-3 side dishes or the week’s lunch components cooked and prepped in as little as 20-30 mins total! It has also saved G and my tendency to run out for fast food during lunches or dinners when we didn’t have something prepped beforehand. I simply throw a couple of chicken breasts in the Instant Pot and, in 20 minutes they’re fully cooked, delicious and ready to serve over a bed of romaine for a healthy meal!
2. Cookbooks
On that note, wanted to share a few cookbooks that I recently purchased and LOVE. I bought one solely for Instant Pot recipes, one for making easy weeknight dinners and one for pretty much all of the above. I want to just pause and say that cooking from a cookbook is soooo nice. I used to just use my phone or laptop in the kitchen and, while I still do that and it works just fine – there’s just something about having a paper copy set up on my cookbook stand that makes my cooking experience that much more enjoyable.. don’t judge! 😉
Okay, so I’ve been loving all of these books lately, but if you’re only looking for one, buy this one NOW. Last week every single one of our meals came from that book and not only did I love them, but they all made G VERY happy! Gina includes instant pot, air fryer, Dutch oven and sheet pan meals – and offers alternative cooking methods for many of them if you don’t have the specialized equipment.
3. Essential Oils Box
You guys may have seen me open this when I first got it on my Instagram stories last week, but I wanted to rave about it a little bit more on here 😉 This is the sort of thing that makes me so glad I chose to stick with Rocky Mountain Oils. They manufactured this essential oils storage box at the request of their customers and actually made it AFFORDABLE! I love how many bottles it holds and how pretty it looks. I keep it displayed in my office next to my diffuser and it makes me so happy!
4. One Piece Swimsuit
Okay, I know I’ve been talking about swimsuits a lot lately, but I HAD to share this one. I found it while looking for a one piece that I could wear for swimming laps at our pool’s gym. It’s actually a Speedo, but it’s the most stylish/flattering Speedo I’ve ever seen! Note the mesh side panels and adjustable zip-up neckline. Such a great option for exercise swim or even just going to the beach/pool with the family!
5. Clean Mama Labels
Have you been following along on my cleaning journey lately? I’ve been on a mission to establish a cleaning regimen that works for our household – and I’ve been able to manage it all thanks in large part to Clean Mama’s techniques and tools! I bought her cleaning labels a little while back when I saw they were in stock and had been waiting to break them out until I’d finished up the old cleaners I was using (so as not to waste). But I broke these labels out last week and was so pleased at how quickly and easily I was able to make all the cleaning products we needed – all with completely safe ingredients! This is the nightly sink scrub label and, if you can’t tell by the condition of our sink – it works REALLY well and smells amazing!
6. Double Month Acrylic Calendar
Did you guys catch this calendar in my office reveal? I AM IN LOVE. If you’re a planner, you’d love this thing. It comes in a couple of different color options and you can choose between a single or double month size. I used to type everything out on my computer in a self-made calendar document, but I MUCH prefer writing things by hand and getting a full visual. Even if you’re not a blogger or someone who works from home, it’s great for meal planning and keeping track of family activities!
And that’s it! Have questions about any of the items I mentioned? Feel free to ask in the comments below! I’ve also rounded up all the items below for easy access.
