I thought it was time I shared our master bedroom with you all! We still have some decorating to do and an armchair to purchase/style, but it’s pretty much finished! We replaced ALL of the furniture in this room when we moved because pretty much everything we had before was either from my childhood or G’s and our metal bed just didn’t go with the look and feel I was going for anymore. My inspiration came from French classic styles and I have really just fallen in love with blue florals and ginger jars!
It’s funny because, when it came to the bed, we sort of reverted to what we had when we were first married. I made our headboard and bedframe back then, but it was white upholstery and looked very similar! It honestly took me forever to decide on an actual headboard/frame set. I was afraid this one would turn out too cream/beige, but it really works perfectly in the space.
As for our new bedroom set, we went back and forth on the color wood. We knew we wanted wood from the beginning but it took some convincing on G’s part to finally settle on this dark wood hue. I’m so glad he stuck to his guns, though, because I think the finish on this set is absolutely beautiful! We purchased the dresser with mirror and two nightstands from the same collection.
Let’s talk about these nightstands for a second. They have such a cool shape and I LOVE that they have three drawers. I originally thought I wanted open shelves, but not having to worry about hiding cords or having extra things to dust makes me so happy 😉 They’re also a great size. We have room for a fairly large lamp, books and/or other pieces of décor. Do you guys remember these lamps? They’re the ones you helped me choose on Instagram Stories a few months ago! They come in a set of two and are so elegant and timeless.
Our rug is the same one we have in the dining room and is very similar to the one in my office. I love that it lends that cozy soft feeling on your feet when you wake up in the morning, yet is flat and thin enough that I can easily use our hard floor vacuum to clean it!
Our bedding is my all-time favorite print. The blue is currently unavailable, but it’s available in an equally as pretty blush color! We have the duvet cover and three euro shams. We also use this white quilt and two matching shams. I love the mixture of pattern and texture and think our bed is the COZIEST thing. Also, if you’re looking for an affordable King size bed (or any size), we purchased ours from amazon and it’s AMAZING. We put this topper on it and I seriously cannot recommend it all enough.
