I am SO excited to finally be sharing our sweet baby girl’s vintage floral nursery with you all! I’ve gotta say, I’ve loved all of our babys’ nurseries.. but this one is so near and dear to my heart. Partly because I never thought I’d get to design and create a girl’s nursery and partly because I feel like I’m finally settling into a design/decorating style I can truly call my own. There are elements I’ve taken from different inspiration photos around the web, but after a while I stopped referencing those and just started filling this room from the heart. I’d love to hear your what you think in the comments below!
Let me give you the tour.
I love everything about this room, but the one thing that may top this list is this wallpaper! This is the Sanderson Wallpaper Summer Harvest pattern in Claret/Olive and it’s everything I was hoping for it to be. I installed it myself and was so surprised at how straightforward and relatively easy the process ended up being. It’s a paste-the-wall type which had me intimidated – especially since this was my first time working with any wallpaper – but it wasn’t bad at all. I just love what it adds to this room.
As for furniture, most of her pieces are thrifted finds from Marketplace.. including her Land of Nod crib that I scored for less than $200! I absolutely love the way the curio cabinet fits into this space. It’s the perfect display/storage piece for her heirloom tea cups, books and other little trinkets.
The art and bunny sitting on top of the cabinet are keepsakes that G and I brought home for her from England this past November. I remember feeling so excited and grateful on that trip that I had a little girl to shop around for in England. One day, when she’s old enough to appreciate it, I want to take her back there with me and do/see all the fun things we did while she was in my belly. How fun will that be..
This may just be one of my favorite views of a room ever. I debated for a while about whether or not I should paint her dresser – and if I did, what color – but in the end I found a color that closely matched her crib and I love the way it all came together! This rocker is the same one we bought and used for Beckham’s nursery and the side table has been used in our nurseries since Fischer!
Shop the nursery.
As I said, much of Addie’s nursery furniture was found on Facebook Marketplace, so I highly recommend checking for thrifted items in your area if you’re going for a similar vintage look/feel for your baby’s nursery! However, I’ve also linked some similar type items that you may like below in case you’re not having any luck secondhand.
