Have you guys heard of ASOS? They are my go-to retailer whenever I need something special to wear for an occasion like a wedding or the holidays for three main reasons. First, most of their collection is very reasonably priced and they have a WIDE variety of styles to choose from. Second, depending on the style of the item, their main ASOS collection can be found in Plus, Petite, Regular, Tall and even Maternity sizes! I love that they think to cover the full spectrum of sizes and shapes so as not to leave anyone out and to help you find something that suits your body and preferences. Finally, ASOS offers fast shipping without charging you an arm and a leg AND free returns! Your order comes with a pre-printed sticker label so that all you have to do to make your return is slap it on the same package and drop it off at your local UPS. SO easy.
When I was making this order, there were three main things I was looking to purchase something to wear for: our family holiday photos, Thanksgiving and, of course, Christmas! I found something for each – plus some. Can you guys guess which one I’ll be wearing when? 😉
Let me show you the choices!
2019 Holiday Outfit Ideas
Green Eyelet Drop Waist Dress
This dress just screams Christmas to me. It’s the perfect color and such a cute design! I think it would pair well with stockings and booties as well as a pair of knee-high boots as shown. The tiered drop waist helps to give it a feminine silhouette and I love how much movement it gives when you sway back and forth. The sleeves are unlined, but the main part of the dress is fully lined so you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone. 🙂
White Embroidered Dress
I actually wore this dress this past weekend for our family holiday portraits! It would make for such a cute Thanksgiving dress as well. This is the priciest option in this post at $92, but I think that’s worth it when you consider how much use you can get out of it this season! Like the green dress, the sleeves are unlined and a little sheer, but the body of the dress is lined from about the waist down!
Puff Sleeve Sweater Midi Dress
I thought this dress would make for such a classy look for the holidays. I ALMOST went with this one over the previous for our portraits but now I think I might wear this for our Thanksgiving gathering! I ordered this one in the Petite size and I’m glad I did since it ended up hitting at the perfect spot (I’m 5’4 for reference). I’ve linked the regular version and the gray versions available in Regular and Tall!
Belted Camel Dress
They call this a ‘tunic’ but if you’re my height or shorter it’s definitely a dress! I love the shape of this one – it hugs you the slightest bit when you tie the sash so as to give you a slight hourglass shape. I also love how the sash falls and bunches a little bit in the front, which makes it perfect for hiding that food baby during your Thanksgiving feast – haha! 😉 This dress could also double as a cute and classy church or even work dress – and is less than $30!
Tie Neck Collar Blouse
I fell in love with this top when I saw it online and it didn’t disappoint when I tried it on in person! This is such a classic blouse for special occasions and reminds me so much of Thanksgiving for some reason – probably that pilgrim-like collar. Pair this one with a comfy pair of black leggings (faux leather would be cute and edgy!) or jeans and a pair of black boots or booties for a no-fuss, easy holiday look!
And that’s it! Which look was your favorite??
