Okay I know I’ve promised a gift guide on Wednesdays, but I also told y’all that the next thing I posted on here wouldn’t be a gift guide.. and the latter promise seemed more appealing to me today?Tomorrow, I’ll post my beauty and fitness gift guides, but for now let’s talk about my current favorite outfits!
As a blogger, things in my closet are on constant rotation. I’m always replacing the old with the new, that’s just the way it is. That being said, I do have a some essentials that are so good they stick around for multiple years. Keeping that in mind, not everything featured in this post will be brand new (and still available). When that happens, I’ll try to link similar items for you. To be honest, I’m thinking of making this a monthly series! It’ll give me a chance to feature my current favorite things in one easy-to-find place and hopefully offer y’all some relevant outfit inspiration. Sound good? Alright, let’s get started!
zella leggings, black boots, amazon sweater.
Two #NSALE events ago, I tried on my first pair of Zella Live In Leggings and was so impressed. However, for some reason I didn’t end up pulling the trigger and I regretted it over the next year. So, during this past Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, these babies were the first thing in my cart. Whether they’re meant to be strictly workout leggings or not is irrelevant in my book as I wear them everywhere from the gym to even church with a tunic and boots. They were seriously spot on calling them ‘live in’ leggings. I hardly take them off! Recently, I found this stretchy and comfy sweatshirt on Amazon and started pairing the two together.
Often times I’m running around the house in this outfit with no shoes on, but if I want to wear it out, I’ll throw on my black knee-high boots (mine are old but I’ve linked similar below)! I’ve always loved the knee-high boots with leggings and a tunic look. It’s been my go-to fall/winter outfit combination since college!
all black + leopard cardigan.
As a stay-at-home mom, is it any surprise that some of my favorite outfits involve leggings? This outfit is mostly the same as the previous, but with a pop of leopard print! I’m wearing my Zella leggings, same boots, a black top (this is an old Banana Republic Tunic, but any of your favorite black tops will do!) and this score of an Amazon leopard cardigan! I feel like this cardigan is so good for layering this time of year and can go with so many different things. If it weren’t so cold, I’d pair it with my black cotton midi dress and a pair of booties.
articles of society jeans, topshop cardi + leopard flats.
This top is a new addition from my latest Trunk Club shipment and these leopard flats are the Dr. Scholl’s ones I raved about to y’all on Instagram the other day! I wear these flats every chance I get – AKA – as long as anything in my closet that matches isn’t in the laundry?I’ve had these Articles of Society jeans for a couple of years now and, to my surprise, there’s a very similar if not exact pair available on Nordstrom Rack currently! They are SO comfortable and only set you back $37!
corduray overall dress, black turtleneck + boots.
This is the outfit I wore for our Thanksgiving gathering and if I hadn’t been hosting/cooking/trying to savor time with family and friends, I would’ve shared it with you then because I absolutely LOVE it! Just about everyone complimented me on this outfit and the best part? These overalls come in LOTS of different colors, so if this color combo seems to ‘fall-y’ for the upcoming months, don’t worry! There’s a pretty evergreen color, a neutral black and so much more to choose from! They’re also super affordable so I’m contemplating getting a few more colors myself. I’ve had this black turtleneck for a few years now and, to my surprise, it’s still being carried! It comes in other colors too and is great – soft, thin and comfortable!
madewell jeans, puff sleeve sweater + over the knee boots.
This outfit is the perfect example as to why I love Trunk Club. This entire outfit came from my most recent box and its officially one of my favorites! I don’t think I ever would’ve tried this sweater in this color, but I fell in love – plus my closet could use a little pop of color. I mentioned this on my stories, but I’ve always avoided Madewell jeans for their price tag and the fact that I knew I would fall in love with them haha! And I was right – but luckily these are on sale! They’re a black/blue color and so, so, SO comfortable. This balloon sleeve sweater is so flattering and feminine! It’s the perfect sweater for this time of year and I love the way the this whole look goes with these over-the-knee black boots. They’re a little bit of a splurge for me, but I can tell I’m going to wear these A LOT and for YEARS – so just under $100 is a fair price considering!
As an FYI, the hair bow I’m wearing in some of these photos is one from the 6-pack that I shared the other day – here’s a link! I love these bows and how well they actually hold up my (very thick, heavy) hair!
That’s it! Which outfit was your favorite??
