This post is a modified rendition of my regular ‘Amazon Finds Under $50’. Rather than go that route, I’m sharing some of the items we’ve recently purchased and highly recommend! Now, this list is a little bit all over the place, but I think that’s what makes it fun! Whether you’re a mom of a toddler who is looking to start potty training soon, in need of some allergen relief or just looking to add things to your home or wardrobe, this list is for you!
FYI, you can shop the entire list via my Amazon Storefront by clicking here.
Let’s start with my home recommendations.
For the Home.
Air Purifier – G has pretty bad allergies and mine have gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. A few weeks ago, the allergens in the air both outside and in our home were proving to be a LOT. So, in desperation, we ordered this air purifier to try to find some relief. We’ve been SO HAPPY with it I can’t even tell you! It has a lot of cool features including an interval timer, quiet mode and a light indicator that corresponds to the quality of the air around you. It’s been such a life saver for us and I HIGHLY recommend!
Enameled Cast Iron Pot – The one I bought a little while back was a Cuisinart, but this one is VERY similar in shape, style, size AND price! It also has very good reviews. I love the way it looks on our stove so I keep it there for decor in between uses and it’s so nice to have for soups, casseroles, noodles and more!
Patio Umbrella – We purchased this umbrella for our patio table earlier in the spring and love it! It’s under $40, tilts to either side and has a really convenient crank that lowers and raises the umbrella easily.
Hair Accessories.
3-Pack Velvet Headbands – You have probably seen me wear these headbands a lot lately, but what you may not know is that I normally CAN’T wear headbands. The shape/size of my head normally makes headbands uncomfortable for me, but I have been SOOO pleasantly surprised by these! What’s more, they’re width makes them the perfect accessory for hiding dirty hair – so I’ve been able to go longer in between washes!
Microfiber Hair Towels – Did you know it’s not good for your hair to dry it with a regular towel? For a while now, I’ve been using a big t-shirt because my old microfiber towel got too small for my long hair. So, I finally decided to order a new one and this one is great! Even better is it comes in a pack of 2 and only costs $10!
Potty Training Amazon Recommendations.
If you follow me in Instagram, you know we started potty training Fischer recently! He’s done such an amazing job and I felt so prepared thanks to some literature and having the right tools. Here’s what we’ve been using.
Note: one of the potty’s we use and I HIGHLY recommend CAN be found on Amazon, but it’s MUCH cheaper here.
Oh Crap! Potty Training – I was recommended this book by just about everyone I know who had recently gone through potty training before me. As a first time mom who’s heard some horror stories about potty training, I wanted to be as prepared as I could to hopefully do it right from the start. This book REALLY helped get us off on the right foot. It’s an AMAZING resource. It recommends giving yourself time to read it and about two weeks to prepare yourself to potty train, but I broke those rules. I started reading before we started potty training, but then Fischer decided he wanted to start, so at one point I was reading as we went. Still worked and was still incredibly helpful!
OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty for Travel – This is such a great on-the-go potty to keep in your car! It can stand on it’s own to be used in the back of your car and it also folds down into a child-size potty seat so you can easily use it on a regular toilet at home, in stores or restaurants. It comes with a convenient plastic storage bag and a few liners to get you started.
Potty Board Book – We bough Fischer a couple of potty books to help introduce him to the potty before we got started. This was his FAVORITE and I love how it walked through the steps of potty training in an easy-to-understand, fun way. I feel like it really helped him to understand and enjoy the process!
