Bumpdate: Baby Fontenot.
Now that baby boy Fontenot is finally starting to make an appearance, I thought it would be fun to keep a weekly update of his progress! I happen to start a new week of pregnancy every Monday, and what better way to start a new week than with a small dose of baby bump? This week marks 15 weeks and I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am and how fortunate I feel for a healthy and relatively easy pregnancy thus far! Read on for more details! š
Bump Analysis: It’s only been in the last day or so that I’ve felt confident that the bulge in my belly is actual baby and not just pregnancy bloat.. but he’s definitely there!
Month/Trimester: 3.75 months [15 weeks] / 2nd trimester!
Fruit of the week: Baby boy is the size of an orange š
Development: He’s able to squint, pee, frown and even suck his thumb. Did you know babies in the womb drink amniotic fluid, pee it out and do the same thing all over again to practice? Sort of gross and amazing at the same time.
Movement: I’ve been vigilante for movement, but it’s a little too early to feel him.
Name: We’re keeping it a surprise… for now.
Weight Gain: 4 pounds so far.
Symptoms: During the first trimester I had almost ZERO symptoms except for being constantly exhausted. Since I’ve hit the second trimester (last week), I’m feeling more energetic. The only symptom I can think of are round ligament pains (just a happy reminder that Baby F is growing)!
Cravings: Fruit
Aversions: Mexican food
Sleep: Sleeping well!
Maternity Clothes: I’m still holding out on maternity clothes.
Exercise: Focusing on getting back to an exercise routine this week now that I have more energy. I’ll keep you posted!
Wedding Rings: On!
Stretch Marks: None. I’ve been using Mother’s Special Blend thanks to a recommendation from one of my close friends!
Preparations for Baby: G and I started the process of clearing out the room that will be the nursery this weekend. A little bit left to go before we can start painting and filling it nursery goodies.
Labor Signs: Hopefully not for a long while!
What I miss: Starting to miss a glass of wine now and then!
Looking forward to: Fall. I love Autumn in Atlanta and am sort of over this whole 95 degree, muggy, rainstormy weather thing.
