You guys.. we’re at 8 months!!
Just 5 more weeks until little man is full term and only 8 weeks until our due date.. I cannot wait. These past 6 months have gone by so fast and so slow at the same time. At this point, G and I are trying our best to savor the next few weeks by ourselves as the reality of a sweet baby’s arrival becomes more and more real. Read on for more insights and details on what’s happening lately 🙂
Bump Analysis: I’m sort of just impressed at the point that he and this belly can even get bigger lol! I feel like I need to pee constantly, waddling is way more comfortable than walking like a normal person, my back and ribs always hurt and I’ve officially given up on shoes that need buckling. But, seriously, all smiles and nothing but grateful over here, y’all.
Month/Trimester: 8 months [32 weeks] / 3rd trimester
Food of the week: Bok Choy or Jicama
Development: He weighs 3.5-4 pounds and is 15-17 inches long. His digestive system is already functioning fully and his skin is no longer transparent. During the next 6 weeks he’ll be rotating into the head-down position (hopefully)!
Movement: He. Moves. Constantly. My app says that he sleeps about 90-95 percent of the time but there’s NO way that’s accurate – at least not for this munchkin lol! He kicks and punches so hard sometimes it makes me jump and worry about the safety of my ribs… or strength of my bladder haha!
Name: FSF 🙂
mom update.
Symptoms: I’ve started to have some braxton hicks contractions and everything from my back down to my legs and feet are getting sore really quick if I’m exerting myself.
Cravings: Peanut butter and root beer have been my go-to’s lately.
Aversions: Still eggs.
Sleep: Thanks to the most comfortable body pillow I’m still sleeping well throughout the night.
Maternity Clothes: I’ve purchased a few things lately – one of which is the dress that I’ll wear for our maternity photos this week and I can’t wait! I’ll share more about my recent purchases with you all throughout the week.
Wedding Rings: On for now, but I’m not sure how much longer they will be since my hands are beginning to swell a little bit.
Stretch Marks: None, thanks to my handy dandy butters and oils.
looking forward.
Preparations for Baby: The nursery is just about finished! Keep an eye out over on my Instagram and here on the blog in the next week or two for some sneak peeks and an eventual reveal!
Labor Signs: Nope!
What I miss: Something pretty specific – being able to breathe normally. This bump is taking up so much room in my midsection that it’s hard to take deep breaths.
Looking forward to: This holiday season! I love this time of year for so many reasons and the fact that the baby will be born during it makes my heart so happy. Specifically excited for: our maternity photos, Thanksgiving festivities, Christmas tree shopping/decorating, gift shopping and hosting our families during Christmas for the first time.
