black friday finds.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Black Friday is here, which means it’s time to shop for the loved ones on your list. G and I actually headed to Target last night just before their deals began at 6pm. We waited in line but it was fun and so worth it! We scored some pretty great goodies (including a Roomba that I may or may not have spent about an hour watching while it cleaned our downstairs this morning lol!). I’ve gathered some of my favorite stores’ sales going on now, complete with their coupon codes and information. Take a look, hope they help you get some Christmas shopping done!

our feast.
It was just G and I for Thanksgiving yesterday. Sounds a little lonesome, but it was actually a really sweet day. Also, it was a little bit of a recipe testing and calm before the storm since we’re hosting both our families for Christmas this year as Baby F will be full term the Monday before!
The day started around 9am. I prepped the turkey, got it in the oven and then started on some appetizers (potato hassle backs, spinach artichoke dip and apples with caramel dip) while G sat at the kitchen island and sipped coffee with me. Apps were served on our bar with an Old Fashioned for G and some sparkling apple cider for me.
We then worked as a team to finish the dressing, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and a chocolate ganache tart for dessert! We ate around 4pm, watched football and then around 5:30 headed out for our first Black Friday outing together. It truly was a sweet, relaxing day that we loved spending together. We are thankful for so much – not the least of which is the sweet baby boy we’ll be welcoming in about a month and our precious family and friends.
Hope you all had a blessed, restful and happy Thanksgiving, too!
