I’ve been coveting these black Hunter Rain Boots for more than a year – so when they turned out to be my birthday present from G I all but jumped for joy. They are SO comfortable, y’all, plus they go with just about everything! I will say, though, that you should definitely size down. I am normally a size 8.5 shoe, but my Hunter boots are size 7 and fit perfectly.  I wore them to church the other day with this cozy LOFT fireseide sweater and a pair of black jeans. You may already know this, but my Hunter boots come in a variety of different colors – make sure you check them out!

It’s here…another Monday, friends.. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are off to a great start to this week! I have some fun things planned in terms of blog posts over the next few days and am excited to share with you, so stay tuned throughout the week for some new things to surface on SS! Today, I’m sharing the outfit I wore to church yesterday evening. Evening service always feels a lot more casual than going in the morning, so I dressed the part in a button-up blouse paired with mid-calf boots. I wasn’t sure how I felt about mid-calf boots, but I really like these and think that the style can go well with a lot of different looks!

It’s Monday and, for most of us, it’s back to reality after a nice long weekend. I hope you all had such a great holiday weekend and so much fun celebrating the new year! We spent NYE with my in-laws and some friends from church watching football, playing cards against humanity and enjoying many glasses of champagne.. just the way I like it 😉 You may have noticed there are a few changes that have popped up in terms of the layout of SS – mainly just a change to the header and sidebar photo for now, but there will be some more coming throughout the next week or two as I tweak and update this little blog to better represent the change and growth that has been happening in all aspects of Sunkissed Sophisticate (including me)! I’ll be looking for ways to simplify the aesthetic; I’ll be cleaning up…

I absolutely love this vest and how versatile it is! It goes great with pants and a top or, I love to wear it with a comfy dress like this one! It adds the perfect amount of warmth to those outfits that you need to carry you from the afternoon to the cooler evening temps. Simply throw this vest on like you would a sweater or jacket and you’ve instantly got this chic and cozy (not to mention unique) accent piece! Of course, if you need a little extra warmth, a felt brim like this one couldn’t hurt either!
