my new favorite jeans.

Truth be told, I’ll take a good pair of jeans and a soft, comfy tee over a dress and heels any day. Don’t get me wrong, I love an occasion to get dressed up – but I’ve just always leaned into casual clothes. That being said, I’ve always wanted a good pair of Levi’s jeans. I have these shorts (and love them), but I’ve been on the hunt for actual jeans for forever. They’ve just always seemed so classic to me. I had one pair growing up that I loved, but I grew out of them (as kids do) and I’ve been on the lookout ever since. Let’s be honest, a really great pair of jeans is sort of hard to come by.

I found these during a recent sale and knew I had to scoop them up. I’ll tell you what – I’m so glad I did. I don’t normally gravitate toward light wash denim, but something about these works – especially with the distressed detailing at the knee. They’re high waisted, which is great for a myriad of scenarios: moms, crop tops, those who simply like to keep their undergarments covered 😉 and knotted tees.

Speaking of – this pocket v-neck tee is seriously SO good. I actually have it in several colors, but just recently added this gray one to my closet. This tee is my go-to everyday basic that looks good with just about everything. I’ve warn them with everything from jeans and shorts, to maxi skirts and over fitted dresses. So versatile – and at an affordable price (under $20)! To achieve the knotted hem below, I’d recommend sizing up one size. Spoiler alert – I’m almost always going to size up. Personally, I just love the comfy oversized look and feel!Levi's Jeans and Soft Gray Shirt | Amanda Fontenot Blog | Atlanta Blogger Levi's Jeans and Soft Gray Shirt | Amanda Fontenot Blog | Atlanta Blogger Levi's Jeans and Soft Gray Shirt | Amanda Fontenot Blog | Atlanta Blogger Levi's Jeans and Soft Gray Shirt | Amanda Fontenot Blog | Atlanta Blogger Levi's Jeans and Soft Gray Shirt | Amanda Fontenot Blog | Atlanta Blogger

Soooo this is new! But I’m going to start giving a little teaser of what you all can expect to see next on the blog (and when)! Not only will it give you something to look forward to (hopefully) – but I’m hoping it will help keep me focused and accountable. It’s truly my wish to start prioritizing this blog of mine.. and to push through all the other work I have on the side.

So, what’s next? On Friday, I’m planning to post a little DIY number on how to make pipe shelving. We have done it in our home THREE TIMES now: in our master bedroom, dining area and even our guest bathroom. I absolutely love the look of them and we’ve even found a website that stocks the piping at a fraction of the price of mainstream hardware stores! I’ll walk you through how we did it and show you both of the spaces the shelves are currently serving in. So, stay tuned! Should be good 🙂
