If you’d like to read more about the brand of essential oils I use and why – head over to this post!

You guys know how much I love my essential oils for cleaning and diffusing in a room! What you may not know is that you can blend certain essential oils together to achieve some pretty cozy fall scents. Not only that, but unlike the potentially harmful effects candles can have on your home (depending on what they’re made of), diffusing essential oils to achieve a fall smell can actually HELP your home and the people in it! Since certain oils have properties that can trigger positive responses in your mind and body, they take home scents to a whole other level.

With that in mind, I thought I’d share some of the blend recipes I’ll be diffusing this fall and give a quick overview of the benefits of each individual oil.

Essential Oils: 6 Diffuser Recipes for Fall | Amanda Fontenot Blog

Let’s start with the benefits.

Benefits of Fall essential oils.

Now, there are a LOT more oils than I will be listing here, but these are the ones currently in my collection that I’ll be using for the recipes I provide a little further down.

  • Ginger: Wellness, Pain relief
Ginger is known to aid with nausea and morning sickness, improve digestive health, soothe sore throats/aid in respiratory relief, is a natural antiseptic (germ and bacteria fighter), and helps with sleep!
  • Cinnamon: Wellness, Energy
Some of the benefits of cinnamon essential oil include stimulation of the immune system, fights parasites, fights viruses, decreases inflammation and uplifts mood.
  • Clove: Energy
Clove is known to boost energy and support the immune system.
  • Nutmeg: Pain relief, Energy
Benefits associated with nutmeg include elevated mood, boosts immune system, relieves pain, and helps to improve memory.
  • Orange: Energy, Mood, Cleaning
Diffusing orange essential oil improves mood, increases energy levels, promotes better digestion, boosts the immune system and helps to purify by killing bacteria.

Don’t these sound like great benefits to bring to the table (or counter) of any room in your home? 🙂

One of the things I love about essential oils and these recipes is that they’re HIGHLY customizable, so you may find that you like a little more or a little less of something in any of these recipes – and that’s ok! Essential oils, despite their small bottles last a LONG time because of how little you need to use and how far each drop goes.

Alright friends, can you do me a favor? If you try any of these and love them could you let me know?! Also, if you have any favorite fall blends that aren’t on here, please share in the comments below! You can also always tag me in your photos and stories on instagram: @amandafontenotblog!

As a side note, essential oils and/or a diffuser would make a GREAT holiday gift this holiday season! Coincidentally, diffusing essential oils is a wonderful way to make your home smell great and cleanse the air before and after hosting guests. Remember, we are currently in the midst of flu season, so every precaution helps in protecting yourself and your family members from harmful germs.
