Clean & Organize

Category

Earlier this week, I shared my pantry makeover and the huge difference it has made in how our kitchen feels and functions. Today, I wanted to share a few more things that have really helped to clean and organize this space. At the end of this post I’ll also share WHY it’s important that I figured out better ways to store things in this particular room.. which is some really fun news! Spice Racks and Containers. All of our spices used to be housed in the door of our pantry. Then, last year I finally invested in a spice rack and some jars and turned one of the drawers in our kitchen into a spice drawer. Not kidding.. lately I’d been putting things away in it without even looking so I wouldn’t see the mess LOL. So I decided it would be one of the first organization projects I tackled in the new year – and I’m so happy with the way it turned out! All it took to get this space cleaned up was a couple of organizing tools, a few white towels and about 45 mins of my time! Let me show you what I did.. but first take a look at this ‘BEFORE’ photo… YIKES, right?! As I was trying to decide how to write this post in a way that would be…

Can you believe it’s already May?! That means it’s already been a full year since I started this little cleaning calendar journey of mine! (to read my original post, click here) Since then, the general idea of these cleaning calendars has stayed the same. However, I’ve changed up a few things here and there each month to truly find a routine that I love and feel like I can keep up with.
