snow day fun. I woke up this past Saturday and immediately felt the kind of excitement that used to invade my veins as a kid on Christmas morning.  It was barely 7:30am when I found myself nose to the window, greeted with a white covered world on the other side of the pane. It was the first time I had ever woken up to snow. An actual snow day! Snowfall had started the night before. G, the pups and I walked outside giddily catching snowflakes on our tongue (and heads and hats and noses). Nothing, however, could have prepared me for the feeling of waking up to a Georgian winter wonderland. Saturday morning, we laughed as the ice crunched beneath our feet and gawked at the frozen cars in the parking lot. We made some coffee, breakfast and even tried taking the dogs to their 9am appointment. But we didn’t even get out of our apartment complex due…

The perfect tie neck blouse. I first wore this tie neck blouse at Thanksgiving and then again a few nights later when G and I went to pick out our Christmas tree! I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on it thus far and love how the lace detailing makes it perfect for the holiday season. I also started my new job and couldn’t have asked for a better first day so.. good news all around! The look. I paired it with…

I have to say, the turtleneck has been my go to this year. I just love how they are so easy to pair and layer with different bottoms. From leggings to skinny jeans – and now even bootcut denim! I love this striped turtleneck tunic in particular because it’s made of a really soft and breathable fabric that is light, yet warm. It’s actually currently on sale for less than $30 and comes in 2 different colors! I paired it with comfortable denim and classic army jacket. I’m also wearing a heeled pair of cognac booties and am carrying my absolute favorite Michael Kors satchel 🙂
