yosemite with friends. On the eve of another adventure, I couldn’t help but break out a few photos of my last one. Last month, I went on a hiking and camping trip with two of my best gal pals in Yosemite National Park and I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have had that experience. Upon our arrival at the park, we set up camp, pitched a tent, built a fire and poured some wine. The two friends I went with are the kind that sincerely quench your soul. The three of us are happiest with our eyes behind a lens or when our hands are creating. We love Jesus. We ask each other the hard things and build abs by laughing hard and giggling often. There’s something so sweet about having friends who are so much like you, yet who are different enough to add a unique…

a golden experience. During our trip to California, the weather was cold and wet. On our last morning, we got up early, left our hotel and drove 20 minutes north to the Golden Gate Bridge. We’d crossed it a couple of times before as we traveled to and from Napa, but the fog was so thick and wet that we hadn’t had the chance to see it. That wasn’t the case at all on this morning. There is a lookout point just across the bridge that you can drive to. One of the coolest experiences was walking up that hill, cheeks stinging from the cold air, watching as the tall red towers of the Golden Gate Bridge slowly came into sight. What we saw at the top was so breathtaking. The sun coming up over the city on the horizon slowly began to permeate the clouds, creating the most amazing backdrop…

it feels like you’re at home. During our recent trip to California, we stayed in Napa Valley for two of the four nights we were out west. While there, we stayed at a boutique hotel by Lark Hotels called the White House Inn. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who showed us around the property, handed us our keys and then we were sent off to the dining room for wine hour while he carried all of our bags up the stairs for us. The most wonderful sense of hospitality swallowed us whole as soon as we arrived and it truly made for an amazing stay. The Inn itself is gorgeous, with three stories of beautifully designed rooms, thoughtful details, welcoming porches, peaceful corners, friendly faces and a take-what-you’d-like small plate breakfast buffet in the morning. It felt like we were staying at home when we ventured downstairs…

First Day in Napa Valley. I’m back! In case you guys didn’t catch it, G and I spent the last week in San Francisco and Napa Valley. G had to head that way for business for a couple of days and I was fortunate enough to be able to meet him out west for a fun-filled adventure – I even got to spend some time with my cousin who attends San Francisco State 🙂 The first chance I got, I picked her up and we headed to Domaine Carneros – a vineyard in Napa best known for its production of champagne. We spent the afternoon catching up, sipping bubbly, snacking on cheese and taking pictures in the drizzling rain. What I wore. The weather in Napa was cold and wet, so I decided to throw on something easy. This felt hat was a lifesaver during this trip. I actually purchased it in town after…
