It’s true what they say: babies don’t keep.

With each passing day Fischer looks and acts less and less like a baby and more and more like an actual little boy. He’s grabbing at everything, observing G’s and my every move and curious about every little thing.

Fischer Scot: 7 Month Update | Amanda Fontenot Blog | Atlanta

The biggest thing that happened this past month was the introduction Fischer got to traveling. He embarked on his very first road trip to Tallahassee and followed it up with another just one week later when we visited the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. So far, he’s handled traveling like a champ, but the true test will come next week when he takes his first plane ride!

A close second to traveling would have to be the arrival of Fischer’s first teeth! The first one broke through the surface of his gums after a few nights of rough sleep and then another one popped up right next to it about a week later! It took me totally by surprise. I wasn’t expecting teeth at 6 months but I’m glad to have gotten the first step in teething under our belt and I know it will be that much easier moving forward now that we know what to expect!

highlights

Fischer Scot: 7 Month Update | Amanda Fontenot Blog | AtlantaMore highlights from this past month include:

  • Mastering the ability to sit on his own
  • Mastering the ability to find and replace his pacifier (which helps to eliminate the need for us to wake up and replace it for him in the middle of the night)
  • Spent his first Sunday morning in the church nursery
  • First aquarium experience!
  • Started using his ‘big boy’ stroller (and loves it!)

The past month has definitely been a collection of small wins for our family. J

As you may know, with each monthly update I like to share the baby products we’re using and loving. All of the items below are ones we use on a daily basis. These are things we found useful during our recent travels!
