Last weekend, I met three of my girlfriends at an Atlanta area winery to celebrate one of my best friend’s bachelorette party. Emily is the classiest lady who loves sipping red wine, appreciates amazing food and deserves more than anyone to be pampered at a luxuriously relaxing spa. So, Chateau Elan was the perfect place to celebrate her!
We began the weekend with a fun dinner at the onsite Irish Pub called Paddy’s. I had a traditionally Irish meal, Bangers and Mash which was delicious and we sat at the bar sipping (and maybe shooting) a few beverages.. it was a bachelorette party after all 😉 Luckily, we were staying at the beautiful Chateau Elan Inn so all we had to do was walk across part of the vineyard to get back to our room. There’s also a shuttle service that can take you to and from parts of the property, which is so convenient – especially when it’s cold!
The next morning, we treated ourselves to a facial at the spa and each came back raving about how our hour-long experience was. Mine was phenomenal. I even came back home telling G I was going to try to make facials more of a regular occurrence because I truly saw and felt a difference in my pores and skin overall. Plus, they’re just so relaxing – have you ever had one?!
After spending some time in the hot tub, sauna and steam rooms, we freshened up with an amazingly relaxing aroma therapy shower and headed to lunch before coming back to taste some of the winery’s best red wines! This was probably my favorite part of the weekend.
The main building where the wine tastings are held is absolutely beautiful. G and I have been there are few times, but it takes my breath away every time I see it. The girls and I sat in the tasting room for hours chatting, laughing and sipping the most delicious collection of reds.
Next up was dinner at Versailles, which is a beautiful restaurant located in the same building as the Inn. I had a mouthwatering filet mignon and we popped a delicious bottle of bubbly at the table. The service was fantastic and we had the best time chatting over good food and drink on our last night together.
Chateau Elan truly has everything you need right there on site. Whether you’re going for a girls weekend, romantic getaway or would simply like to spend the day tasting a delectable selection of wines, I’d whole heartedly recommend giving Chateau Elan a visit!
