I’ve honestly had this dress in my closet for over a year, but only recently brought it out when we were getting ready to go have dinner with friends this past weekend. I originally bought it with a long duster to wear in the fall and I’m not sure why, but I never did!

I love this black maxi dress for so many reasons. Quite possibly the biggest reason, though, is that it has pockets! I’ve said it before, but a dress with pockets is hands down better than a dress without 😉 Other reasons to love this dress are as follows:

It’s lightweight – made of a lightweight cotton material that is as comfortable in the summer as it is in the fall paired with booties and a cardigan or duster!
It’s less than $25 – a versatile maxi dress that’s actually affordable? Yes please!
Available in a bazillion colors – I’m seriously contemplating getting it in red and navy!
Washes easily – because of the material, this dress is easy to wash and care for. It doesn’t even require ironing!
Adjustable – the straps are adjustable, which makes it easy for petite and taller gals to wear!
Flattering – this dress has a flattering dipped v-neckline and two side slits that not only add a bit of appeal, but make it easy to walk in as well!
Versatility – as I said, this dress would be great with layers in the cooler months as well as a great beach coverup, date night or just daytime dress (depending on what you pair it with)! You can easily dress this one up or down, which basically means you have about 10 outfits in one 😉

To go to dinner, I simply paired it with a leopard print hair bow scrunchie and my favorite lace-up sandals. I brought a denim jacket with me, but didn’t end up wearing an extra layer because it was so dang hot!
