We purchased this cabinet from IKEA shortly after we moved in, but it never really got much attention in terms of thoughtful organization or inhabitants lol! All that changed the other day, though as I finally got around to making this nice big cabinet not only pretty, but functional and neat.
I’m not kidding, I put the finishing touches on this cabinet in the morning and, throughout the day, came back to the bathroom at least 5 or 6 times just to bask in the joy of organization?I’d been loathing this part of our otherwise beautiful bathroom for a long time now, but all it took was a few new baskets and an hour or so of my time!
Here’s a list of everything we keep in this cupboard:
- Towels
- Hand Towels
- Wash Cloths
- Toilet Paper
- Makeup – top blue bin
- Hair bands, hair ties and hair clips – bottom blue bin
- Makeup brushes, lip sticks and lip balms, eyeliner and mascara – in an acrylic organizer on a turn styler
- Cotton balls
- Q-Tips
- Nail Polish/Remover/Tools – very top left cream bin
- Moisturizer
- Perfume
- Hairspray and Heat Protector
- Necklaces
To hang my necklaces on the door, I just used some command strip clear hooks. I love the extra storage they provide and the fact that I have all my necklaces in clear and easy view while I get ready. Storing them this way also ensures they remain untangled and easily accessible!
I feel like I really maximized the potential of this space and I love how it turned out!
