We’re back from our Tennessee Glamping trip and I’m so excited to share all about it!

It was COLD up in in the Smoky Mountains this weekend, but our dome was well equipped with heaters, warm beds, a hot shower and even a hot tub so we were not suffering! I love how the main wall in the dome is mostly window, so it feels like you’re completely submerged in nature the whole time – even while inside.

Each dome has it’s own name and theme. We stayed in the Night Fever dome and it was so cute with its light-catching disco balls, record player and retro vibe. Ours was one of the units that sits right on river, so, as we were outside roasting marshmallows or enjoying the hot tub, we had a beautiful view and the sounds of rushing water next to us!

Amenities.

While there are several domes on site, you never feel like you’re lacking privacy as they’re all well spread out and facing away from each other. Stay Minty offers dome rentals at different sizes and price points. Ours was a two bedroom and came fully equipped with a full bathroom, kitchen (had everything but an oven), hot tub, outdoor seating area, charcoal grill and private fire pit. The bathroom was fully stocked with toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The kitchen had plenty of hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher pods, trash bags, plenty of dishes, utensils, cookware and equipment. It was amazing!

Another really cool thing about this glamping site is that, while each dome has its own amenities, there is also a central shared space called the “wifi lounge” that allows you internet access if you need it. In this big open field, there are also several picnic tables and a very large bonfire pit in case you have a large party or several families staying separately but would like one large space to gather and enjoy.

Where is it?

This Tennessee glamping site is located in Cosby, TN which is just a short drive (30 mins) from Gatlinburg! In fact, we stopped in the city on our way back home and took the kids to the aquarium before ending our trip 🙂 There are tons of trails, sightseeing opportunities and family-friendly attractions nearby so there’s no need to ever get bored!

On Saturday we wanted do something low-key and just go get lunch somewhere. We drove 10 mins into town and treated the boys to pizza and ice cream from Mountain View Pizza & Ice Cream (look them up on Google maps)! The food was yummy the view was gorgeous. Nothing too crazy or fancy, but it was the perfect little nearby outing before heading back for the boys’ naps and s’mores 🙂

In addition to the wonderful grounds and nearby attractions, the Stay Minty team makes everything a breeze by never being more than a call or text away – day or night. I can’t recommend them enough!
