Welcome to the last post in this series! And just in the nick of time as August starts tomorrow – can you believe it?! I’m still trying to rack my brain for an August series, so if any of you have ideas feel free to shoot them my way? The ‘Before’ Let’s talk about the “BEFORE” of this pantry. I was so excited to start on this project that I completely forgot to take a photo until I was literally almost done??‍♀️??‍♀️ So, I apologize about that!! But just trust me that it was bad.. like.. really, really bad. There were containers with really old (we’re talking pre-move old.. I know because they still had tape on them from when I was packing them up and didn’t want them to spill?) and just mess everywhere. The bottom part of the pantry was littered with 1,000 cake mix boxes (from the…

let me explain. Okay, so before you judge me too harshly on the ‘before’ of this linen closet, let me just explain its origins. We moved in at the end of February and were still knee deep in renovations. So, this closet – among other places – was one area that just got neglected for a long time. I needed the boxes that contained all the guest/spare linens to be out of the way so unpacked everything but didn’t take the time to sort or go through them at all – just set them willy nilly on these shelves. The broken shelf was hanging on by a thread when we moved in and finally decided to collapse a few weeks ago. I know what you’re thinking – yikes.. but hey, messy ‘before’s’ make for better ‘afters’ right?! (if you agree with that just wait till you see our pantry?) the…

We purchased this cabinet from IKEA shortly after we moved in, but it never really got much attention in terms of thoughtful organization or inhabitants lol! All that changed the other day, though as I finally got around to making this nice big cabinet not only pretty, but functional and neat. I’m not kidding, I put the finishing touches on this cabinet in the morning and, throughout the day, came back to the bathroom at least 5 or 6 times just to bask in the joy of organization?I’d been loathing this part of our otherwise beautiful bathroom for a long time now, but all it took was a few new baskets and an hour or so of my time! Here’s a list of everything we keep in this cupboard: TowelsHand TowelsWash ClothsToilet PaperMakeup – top blue binHair bands, hair ties and hair clips – bottom blue binMakeup brushes, lip sticks…

I have several closets around our home that I’m making it my mission to tackle this month. As I do, I thought it would be fun to bring y’all along and share how I’m organizing each one! I think organizing is all about making the best use out of the space you have so that everything is easy to find and not cluttered. That’s pretty much going to be my mantra as I take on these projects this month. This entryway closet sits right next to our front door and had become sort of a catchall for too many pairs of shoes, coats that aren’t relevant for this time of year and just a bunch of random stuff that didn’t need to be there. Now, it houses several pairs of shoes for both G and I, all three of our rain jackets, my diaper bag, diaper bag refills and more.…
