As much as I’ve talked these tulip shorts up on my Instagram, I figured it was about time to talk about them here on the blog. I love so many things about these shorts. Namely, that they’re extremely lightweight, comfortable and can be worn as loungewear or used for a casual outfit! Keep reading to see how I like to style them for lounging around or running errands.

At home, you can usually find me with a 4 month old attached to my hip, scooting around the floor facilitating tummy time or running up and down the stairs between loads of laundry. What really makes a difference in my day is having key pieces that take little thought to pull together. For that reason, I practically live in clothing that would be considered “loungewear”. Before I found these shorts I always just threw on a pair of Nike athletic shorts and a big t-shirt. I love that these are a little more feminine and – for lack of a better word – cute! Normally, I’ll pair them with this oversized raw edge sweatshirt or I just thrown on a casual white tee. I love the way it looks and feels!

I know there’s not a huge difference in styling, but I wanted to show you guys how these shorts looked with an ‘actual’ outfit. Since it’s spring time, I’ll swap the white t-shirt for this white tank top and layer a denim jacket over top. For a little added interest, I like to knot the hem of my tank, slide on my favorite white sandals and head out the door!
