Our pantry has been the bane of my existence for YEARS now. Yes.. years. Every time I tried to clean it up, it ended up just the opposite within a week or two. The issue? Wasted space. In the pantry itself and kitchen as a whole. The purpose of this post is to inspire you with for your own small pantry and to show you how to make some pretty easy DIY pantry shelves! The before. Brace yourself. It’s a doozy. But the worse the before, the better the after… right? Why is it this bad? A few things: Disorganization and wasted space. So, I set out with a few goals: Add more shelves. Remove the need for the shelving on the door. Make everything easier to see (and pretty). The During. The first step was to remove EVERYTHING. Then, I marked where I wanted the outlet to be and…

Let me start off by saying that furniture refinishing is NOT a quick task – or really even an easy task. This new mantle sits about 8 inches lower than the previous one, which allowed the TV to sit lower and is therefore at a much more comfortable viewing angle. If you’re wondering why we moved the TV to above the mantle – there are a couple of reasons. First, the Frame TV is meant to sit flat on the wall much like an actual picture frame. With the way that our room is set up, that meant that…

2020 ended up being the year of house projects for us and I’m not mad about it one bit! We got a slow start after finding out I was pregnant in mid January, but after the difficulties of the first trimester subsided, the nesting bug kicked in and I was off to the races! Here’s a list of all of the house projects we completed this year: Laid sod in backyardLaundry room update: added cabinets, built shelf, painted windowKitchen open shelvesLiving room windows: added trim and painted black (5 windows)Kitchen faucet and window updateDining room chair rail removalDining room accent wall Dining room window: added trim and painted blackOffice windowNursery windowNursery accent wall Laid sod.
